STEP 1 - PREP HAIR

Ok now lets get to business. Firstly I prepped the hair with Evo’s Salty dog spray. I layered the product quite heavily then dried into the hair 100%.

STEP 2 - BACKCOMB

I then went into the hairline and decided what was best place for the models part to be that best complemented her face shape.

Then I started the really fun part (which I’m sure the model loved brushing all this back combing out as much as I enjoyed putting it in). The backcombing.

TIP: Don’t backcomb the hairline or the part line. Leave these natural and remember that these are now the vale that is going to disguise all the lovely backcombing we have just created.

Proceed to backcomb the entire head leaving out the hairline and parting area.

STEP 3 - GATHER HAIR

Now we are going to gather all of the hair to one side. I generally like to push the hair to the opposite side of where the parting is.

TIP: Remember this hair style is all about the shape, so when gathering the hair remember to be super conscious of what shape you are creating and making sure its appropriate to the face shape of the model or yourself. And make sure it’s complementary.

STEP 4 - SECURE HAIR

Once your happy with the way the shape is looking we then start the cabling technique. (This will ensure your foundation for the hairstyle is secure and won’t be going anywhere)

Finish off with lightly pull out some of the hair. Creating our undone youthful result!
